About

Ethan Cohen is an American composer, producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles. Over the course of his 10 year career, Ethan has contributed to over 80 film and tv projects.

Ethan's film/tv music career began at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, where he cut his teeth on projects like HBO's "Catherine the Great", Dreamworks' "Abominable", Netflix's "Hubie Halloween" and "Back to the Outback", and Disney's "The Lion King" before his eventual move to Emmy award-winning and BAFTA nominated Bleeding Fingers Music, where he joined the scoring team for Fox's "The Simpsons".Ethan's musical fixation emerged in Fairfax Virginia where, at the age of 5, he began begging his parents for piano lessons. After just a couple years playing, he decided to shift his focus, studying exclusively with a jazz teacher -- a 10 year journey which propelled his musical pursuits to Berklee College of Music in Boston. There, he cultivated his deep love and prowess for string/orchestral writing, as well as it's integral role in film, television, and video games. Throughout his time in school, he spent his summers building his engineering and production chops at the Beastie Boys' Legendary studio "Oscilloscope Labs" in Manhattan -- an environment which bolstered his passion for engineering/production, and informed a technical aptitude that ultimately launched his scoring career in LA.
