Bio

Ethan Cohen is an American composer, producer, and arranger based in Los Angeles. He began his film/tv music career at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions, where he spent years working on projects like HBO's "Catherine the Great", Dreamworks' "Abominable", and Netflix's "Hubie Halloween" and "Back to the Outback", before his eventual move to the Emmy award-winning and BAFTA nominated Bleeding Fingers branch, where he joined the scoring team for Fox's "The Simpsons". Ethan currently works as an independent composer and at the age of 27, his credits now span over 80 films/television series.Ethan's musical fixation began at the age of 5 when he began begging his parents for piano lessons. After just a couple years of playing, he decided to begin studying exclusively with a jazz teacher -- a 10 year journey which propelled his musical pursuits to Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he cultivated his deep love and prowess for string/orchestral writing, as well as it's integral role in film, television, and video games. Throughout his time in school, he spent his summers building his engineering and production chops at the Beastie Boys' Legendary studio "Oscilloscope Labs" in Manhattan -- an environment which bolstered his passion for engineering/production, and informed a technical aptitude that ultimately launched his scoring career in LA.
